COHESIVE INTEGRATED MARKETING CAMPAIGN - Performance Task

I was tasked by the FIFA World Cup 2026 Miami-based design team to create a event campaign for a hypothetical soccer match to promote the upcoming tournament, in lieu of an open Branding Specialist position. This case study features a selection of original graphic assets, copywriting, digital assets, and physical product mockups from my full pitch, which was to be ideated, created, and presented in less than 96 hours.

Key brand messaging included the two taglines that are echoed throughout the design collateral: “UNITED AS 1” and “WE ARE MIAMI”.

The Task:

“FWC26 is hosting an invite in Miami with local players and influencers for a friendly, competitive match. The goal is to promote community engagement, wellness and increase awareness for the upcoming World Cup in 2026.”

Deliverables for this performance task included:

  • Organic Social Media posts in various sizes, with a CTA encouraging attendance, along with event details and engaging visuals that capture the essence of the game.

  • Paid Social Media posts in various sizes, promoting event with an RSVP call-to-action.

  • Web Banner Ads in various sizes that will be used on the event's webpage and external sites, showcasing the event details, and brand messaging.

  • Merchandise including a Throwback Jersey and T-shirt that incorporates the event’s branding, and a Match Ball for the event.

  • Event Signage Banners for the event’s entrance and main areas

  • Press Release announcing the game and completing the distribution pipeline to media outlets, with original written copy.

  • Motion Graphic for social media to hype up the event, featuring key messaging and brand details, utilizing the Match Ball design.

FIFA World Cup 2026 Pits Football Influencers vs Local Talent in a Promotional Friendly Match at Hard Rock Stadium on 26 July 2025, “ UNITED AS 1”.

[Miami, Florida – 26 July 2025] – The FIFA organization, in lieu of one of the most anticipated sporting events of all time, WC2026, is laying the trackwork for the global hype train, in one of the hottest new football markets in the Western Hemisphere. The latest home of Lionel Messi, sunny Miami FL, is playing host among 15 other cities to welcome international fans to celebrate the 2nd World Cup put on in the United States of America next summer. To build the local market’s growing hunger for on-pitch action through social media and grassroots attendance, FIFA will be producing the highly anticipated “UNITED AS 1 - Influencer vs. Local Player Friendly”, to get Miami’s currently-unknown ballers into the limelight.

By parlaying the brand networks of various Instagram Iniestas, TikTok tekkers, and Snapchat corner snipers with the best regional talent from the Miami metro area, FIFA aims to deliver to attending fans a combined sense of Florida pride, and digital awe of their mutual following of the Beautiful Game’s most viral content creators. The Friendly match is set to take place at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium Name on 26 July 2025, and tickets are available now on FIFA’s Miami website, or by directly visiting the following URL in your browser:
