GLOBAL BRAND & MARKETING GRAPHIC DESIGNER
ALL THAT, AND A BAG OF COMPUTER CHIPS.
In the summer of 2022, I began an internship at the semiconductor (computer chip) manufacturing company GlobalFoundries, on the Global Brand Team under the Corporate Communications umbrella. It had been my long-time goal as a designer to break into the fast-paced and innovative Tech industry, and especially to be working in a corporate role. The opportunity to work at GF was too good to pass up for a relaxing summer, and I’m more than glad that I made the choice to accept the offer.
During my year-long tenure in the role, I have assisted in managing an internationally-cohesive brand by developing internal and external marketing content, driving public-facing brand awareness, and establishing collateral for frequent industry-wide international conferences that the company hosts.
To boot, I was offered a contract extension to continue my work in the role through my senior year of college. I also was able to visit a GlobalFoundries Fabrication Site, at the headquarters in Malta, NY for the quarterly “GlobalCast”. Here, I met up with my Corporate Communications team, and finally got to put the faces to the names after a year of emails and Zoom calls for our collaborative projects.
